The problem of local self-government in regions of The Far North

The author considers the problems of implementation of powers of local self-government bodies in the regions of the Far North. It is necessary to improve legislation to establish the principles of territorial organization of local self-government, to determine the procedure of creation and activity of the bodies of local self-government, to create the foundations of the financial and material support for the realization of their powers in the regions of the Far North and equated to them localities.
