The main directions of economic development of Nizhny Novgorod region in 2011 and medium-term prospect are the further modernization and diversification of the economy, the creation of innovative production and the development of human capital and infrastructure. In 2011 it is expected the growth of industrial production and agro-industrial complex, the increasing investments. Modernization and technological renewal of the production sphere are performing. Organizations that implement priority innovative projects are receiving state support.
